Shortcodes - or you may call it as Dynamic fields - are a simple yet extremely effective way to further personalize your messages. It establishes a more direct and informal relationship with the recipient. Instead of using “Hey you” or “To whom it may concern”, how about “Hi Tris. It’s Jei from the ManySales app team” as an intro?Personal and friendly is always a great place to start.

At present, we're offering various types of shortcodes in 2 main categories: Transaction & Audience - which you can use in either Email or SMS. These will save your time by automatically replacing the shortcodes with the information from your Shopify data and Audience list:

For SMS messages

You can add shortcodes by selecting one from the 'Personalized shortcodes' dropdown menu from your editor view:

For Email campaigns

You can add shortcodes from the top tool bar in your editor view:

For external HTML Email import

If you're using your HTML email templates, remember to add the shortcode <a href="{{unsubscribe_url}}">unsubscribe</a> within the </body> tag to enable the Unsubscribe section before saving your email. This is a mandatory factor in email marketing, don't leave it out!
